Following the pbulication of his W Stanford Reid: An Evangelical Calvinist in the Academy, Don MacLeod spoke across Canada at various postsecondary institutions, using the example of Stanford Reid’s unapologetic Christian witness in the university as a template for how Christians can engage the university today. The series, which took him from Vancouver to St John’s Newfoundalnd, was financed by the Stanford and Priscilla Reid Trust (as it was then known) and owed much to the initiative and creativity of Laurel Gasque, at the time an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship staff member working with faculty and graduate students and involved in the Theological Students Fellowship.
